Synopsis: In 1980s Dublin, 15-year old Conor develops a crush on Raphina, an aspiring model who dreams of moving to London. In an attempt to impress her, Conor forms a band and under the influence of his older brother starts to compose lyrics inspired by the New Romantics movement. Renaming himself Cosmo, he convinces Raphina to star in their music videos and tries to win her heart in the process.
